Killarney Mechanic Technician 

Position: Mechanic

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to obtain and carry out repairs as indicated on work orders with accuracy and efficiency in accordance with shop and manufacturer standards.
  • Inspect and diagnose the source of any malfunction and perform repairs in addition to determining the need for additional safety or service work.
  • Road-test vehicles to quality check work performed or to diagnose problems. Ability to communicate with the Parts Department for required parts and the Service Writer/Service Sales person in regards to additional work if required and time frames involved.
  • Document all work performed and save and tag parts requested by customer.
  • Ability to align wheels and bleed hydraulic brake systems along with performing activities of a Tire Technician.
  • Accountable for work space, all Shop-owned tools and the ability to follow all company policies, directives and procedures while keeping with health & safety regulations.
  • Perform any other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Have obtain either their 2nd or 3rd level Auto Technician Course or have 2 to 3 years of strong diagnosing/repair experience.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills with a strong problem solving aptitude.
  • Ability to work in a shop environment.
  • Effective listening and communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.

Maintenance Supervisor

The Maintenance Supervisor, in this local manufacturing plant in Brandon, MB,  is responsible to ensure the efficient operation of new and existing equipment used directly in support of the processes.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide operational and maintenance training to production personnel
  • Maintenance of operating and training manuals
  • Establish and maintain working relations with suppliers and outside contractors
  • Research and development of new process ideas and equipment upgrades or standards
  • Coordinate parts for operations and maintenance
  • Establish and maintain a Preventative Maintenance program
  • Communicate directly with the Operations Dept. to coordinate maintenance, repair and installation work
  • Responsible for an effective maintenance shop ensuring smooth operation of equipment
  • Minimize downtime by reviewing the operation of plant equipment and systems, proactively problem solving and identify opportunities for improvements
  • Aid in the planning and implementation of plant and equipment improvements and expansions
  • Participate in the objective setting, plan development and performance monitoring of the plant/equipment performance
  • Ensure the effective participation of maintenance personnel in support of QA, QC, plant cleanliness, safety, health and environmental procedures and programs
  • Ensure that any applicable city, provincial and federal regulations are followed
  • Monitor the inventory and use of spare parts, maintenance supplies and employ the principles of vendor managed inventories as required
  • Directly responsible for an effective maintenance team, including assisting in hiring, training, team development, performance reviews, compliance with the safety and health programs and support of Quality programs
  • Initiate and monitor programs which will improve efficiencies and improve operating costs
  • Deliver and pick  up parts as required

 
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Related post-secondary education and/or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 2 – 3 years of experience in a supervisory role
  • Experience with maintenance scheduling software

RV Sales Person


Pik-A-Dilly RV’s centre is Manitoba’s longest serving RV dealership. They are seeking an energetic Sales person to join their team.
 
Responsibilities

  • The responsibilities of a RV Sales Person with Pik-A-Dilly RV Centre include;
  • Assisting  customers with buying decisions
  • Helping customers select the unit which best fits their needs and budget while providing advice on towing requirements
  • Presenting and selling all makes and models of new and used trailers
  • Presenting  and selling other value-added options
  • Writing deals to present to the Sales Manager
  • Maintaining regular follow-up with prospective and current clients
  • Preparing preliminary used vehicle appraisals
  • Assisting in message changes on the dealerships Highland Avenue sign
  • Providing assistance with the moving of snow on the dealership’s front walk ways in the winter months
  • Assisting with the changeover of show room displays
  • Other duties as assigned
Skills

A RV Sales person with Pik-A-Dilly will display
  • Integrity, professionalism, motivation, a positive attitude and a desire to excel
  • A proven sales and customer service success preferably with large ticket items
  • A knowledge of the Recreational Vehicle market specifically with towables
  • A strong product knowledge of the dealerships product line and the models carried by other dealerships
