The underlying assumption when West-Can Human Resource Solutions was developed, was that the heavy time constraints on many business owners often causes human resource management to be done on a reactionary basis.
At West-Can we understand the financial benefits that are possible through a proactive approach to human resource management. There is nothing standard about our clients, who range from small local businesses to multi-million-dollar international corporations. We deal with clients from profit and not-for-profit sectors, providing each with a wide variety of services tailored to their needs.
Our mission is to provide businesses the services necessary to manage their human resource function in an effective, efficient manner.
Tim SilversidesTim Silversides is an entrepreneur with a strong history in business and volunteerism. After 5 years in financial management, Tim decided to embark on a career in accounting enrolling in the Certified General Accountant program while assuming Controllership roles in a number of Brandon businesses. As Controller Tim often found that he was being relied upon as his employer’s defacto human resource specialist. After realizing the value that strong human resource practices provided business, he decided to go into business for himself in 1996 operating as West-Can Human Resource Solutions. Now after twenty years of positively impacting hundreds of businesses and a transfer of part ownership in West-Can Human Resource Solutions, Tim has decided to start yet another venture. The Change Manager has been developed to help business owners proactively address issues that result from a change in key staff.
Throughout his career Tim has believed strongly in giving back to his community with board involvement that has included;
